Course Descriptions: This 170
hour course (which includes 30 hours of student
teaching outside of the classroom) is designed for
persons interested in becoming Michigan
Instructor/Coordinators. Emphasis will be placed
upon teaching methods and skills important to course
application and management.
Current Instructor/Coordinators
interested in upgrading teaching skills can obtain
continuing education credits for relicensure.
Participants simply identify the credits needed for
relicensure and attend during those particular
hours. Over 135 credits have been applied for in
all three required categories. There is no easier
way to acquire those mandatory credits and learn the
latest strategies for teaching EMS better.

· Endorsement of 2 active Michigan
I/C's
· Letter from your employer to
include certification of 3 years of field experience
as an MFR or above

intended use for I/C certification
Note: A criminal history could
negatively impact your ability to obtain an IC
License.

Practical CE Day
Course Description:
This one-day hands on course allows EMS providers
the ability to easily acquire all of the State
required practical credits for relicensure in a low
stress environment.
Course size is limited to allow for small group
practice with experienced instructors who are
willing to teach and learn alongside their
colleagues.

Course Description:
This 12-Lead class is designed to help you learn to
read a 12-Lead EKG and feel comfortable doing so.
In addition, you will be able to describe
alterations in treatment based on these results.
The course is broken down into 6 modules, which will
allow you to be:

AHA Core Instructor &
CPR Instructor Course
Course description:
This course provides the participants the
instruction required to teach the American Heart
Association Basic Life Support (CPR) classes,
including AED and First Aid training. Our
sanctioned course presents the best instructional
techniques for all learner types and experiences.
This class will cover all of the fundamental
participants need to present a successful CPR/First
Aid class. This course is also a prerequisite for
all new AHA instructor candidates and for current
instructors adding another discipline to their
teaching credentials. Anyone who wants to become an
AHA instructor should take this course.

Course description:
This class exceeds the State and National Registry
requirements for an official EMT refresher class.
Note: This refresher course is a competency based
program. EMTs who successfully complete this course
must demonstrate competency over the knowledge and
skills outlined in this official DOT refresher
education program. We also have scheduled a series
of evaluations to ensure participants’ success at
EMS work and National Registry testing.

Guest Instruction and Tutoring
Our group has resources that may help
your program by presenting specialty topics to your
faculty or offering guest lecturers to your
students. Our experts are available for short or
long-term commitments depending on the project.
Practical
Instructor Workshop
This half-day or all-day program is
designed to provide your practical lab instructors
with a beginning foundation in some of the
principles and methods of education and training.
Topics include: Understanding and Using Bloom’s
Taxonomy, Following a Lesson Plan, Providing
Practical Skills Instruction, Understanding and
Incorporating Individual Learning Styles, Evaluating
Student Practical Performances, Facilitation
Techniques and Providing Constructive Feedback, and
Keeping the Class Focused and Motivated.

Policies and Procedures
Registration Policy:
Enrollment is limited and seats are
reserved on a first come, first pay basis. Early
enrollment is advised. Specific pre-course material
and an agenda are mailed out 2-3 weeks prior to the
course. Be sure to send in a completed registration
form, with payment, and copies of applicable
certification if indicated. Registration deadlines
are typically 2 weeks prior to course start date and
late registration fees may apply.
Student Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations received less than 48
hours prior to a course will result in no refund.
This includes “NO SHOWS.”
Course Cancellation:
As a practice, our group does not
cancel courses for any reasons. This includes poor
weather, low attendance and illness. We believe
that classes should be delivered when promised to
our clients. We do however reserve the right to
cancel a session when extremely unsafe conditions
exist or there is very low enrollment a month in
advance. Students enrolled in a cancelled class may
roll into another class or receive a full refund.
