On February 22, 2014 while at the EMS Summit, Medical Educator Douglas Smith was recognized for his decades of service to the EMS community and his support of the MiREMS organization.

Business partner Tom Gottschalk and MiREMS Director Leslie Hall expressed deep gratitude for all that Doug has done for the EMS profession at lunch in front of an audience of his peers.

During the meeting Leslie Hall shared an award and kind words to a very special advocate, teacher and friend of EMS providers nationwide. Although he has retired from teaching full EMS IC classes, you can be sure he will continue blazing a path for us in the pre-hospital world.
