BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (SALES)

Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for sales and promotion of our software to accounts in an assigned region of the country, for our small successful growing multi-million-dollar software company. The primary goal is to secure new business and expand product use by existing and new users, within the EMS, Nursing and Allied Health industries. This is a full-time position from your home office (during COVID-19 crisis) and mostly remote. Compensation: $50-60,000 (non-negotiable) + commissions + possible bonuses + benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prospect for new business and increase awareness of the company’s capabilities through in-person or virtual meetings, referrals, sales leads, Acuity demo requests, emailing, cold calling, networking, instructor courses and trade shows.

Prospect existing customers to migrate them to the new product offerings and latest solutions (cross-selling).

Objectively identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities and document in a report.

Communicate weekly with management staff concerning upcoming sales, customer needs and any necessary follow-up activities.

Maintain the client database of all customers and prospects within our HubSpot CRM system.

In-person attendance of trade shows, instructor courses, client visits, workshops, and conferences to support sales and marketing efforts (when the COVID crisis is over). Until then, attendance at Virtual events is required.

Attend staff meetings and sales meetings at designated times, currently remote attendance.

Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Strong preference for EMS, Nursing or Allied Health industry experience; prefer Education background too

Strong business acumen, self-motivation, and a strong team player; someone “hungry with integrity”

Prefer experience with outside sales, generating leads, and closing sales deals, but not required

Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, good sense of humor

Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and additional computer skills

Maintain a safe driving record, valid passport, and qualified to rent and drive rental cars (for travel events)

Ability/willingness to travel (when the COVID crisis is over) as much as 50% at certain times; 25% is the annual average travel amount

Able to work effectively, successfully and efficiently from your home office (remote) with little direction; need strong internet connection too

Prefer Grand Rapids MI area candidates; however, can live anywhere in the mainland USA, as long as near a larger airport for travel purposes (when the COVID-19 crisis is over)

Possess cultural virtues of Humble, Hungry and Smart, as described in “The Ideal Team Player” by Patrick Lencioni

Preferred Experience: Constant Contact, HubSpot CRM, Google Docs, GoToMeeting or Zoom, Zendesk, internet research, marketing

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The employee is regularly required to talk and listen to employees and clients; required to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time. Extended travel is normal in this role and may occasionally exceed 40% of the time, when the COVID crisis is over. This role also requires a willingness to work long hours and possible weekends when business requires. Work environment will be at their home office most of the time; work office, meeting rooms, hotels, and exhibit halls, when the COVID crisis is over. Will be required to use of office equipment, cellular phones, laptop, and computer software on a regular basis, provided by company.

DEVELOPER (WEB & MOBILE)

Reporting to the CIO of a small successful multi-million-dollar software company, this position is responsible for creating and modifying online and mobile educational software applications utilizing a variety of technologies and frameworks. The successful candidate will have a love of technology, a proven background and excellent collaboration skills. The current solution stacks make heavy use of .NET & MVC along with React & Angular on the front-end. This is a full-time, work-from-home position, paying salary with possible bonus, plus benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Formulate system scope & objectives through gathering data, research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.

Design, test, maintain, program and develop web-based ecommerce and mobile applications for our cloud architecture

Consulting and communicating between team members and stakeholders for clarity on requirements and QC

Takes ownership, drives changes and improve processes. Works with existing development environment, consistently improving and innovating our sites. Improves the development process within the team by making contributing ideas, creating solutions, etc.

Resolves problems from customers and peers. Takes the time to look though tickets sent to the development team to help answer questions, correct and clarify issues from customers, team members and stakeholders

Researches and keeps up with new and interesting technologies, finds new ways to innovate programs. Shares that knowledge and experience with team members

Handling project development from inception to final fruition and deployment for the end-user, within time frame

Solid programming experience ASP.NET/C#.net

Expertise in database design and development SQL Server and SQL Analysis Services

Expertise in standard web technologies HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS

Expertise in web services and integration

Expertise with version control/bug tracking- GitHub, JIRA, etc.

Expertise in MVC- Can build web applications using latest MVC technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.

B.S.in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in web and/or mobile development

Significant C# experience including ASP.NET and especially MVC

Various web skills in HTML5, React, Typescript, JavaScript

SQL Server experience. Microsoft Entity Framework experience. Agile Development Methodologies

Possess a strong technical background and willingness to learn and use new technologies

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to achieve results within tight deadlines

Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team

Prefer candidates that live in the greater Grand Rapids MI area

Must be able to work efficiently from your home office; must have strong internet connection
