Developer (Web/Mobile)

Reporting to the CIO of a small multi-million-dollar software company, this position is responsible for creating and modifying online and mobile educational software applications utilizing a variety of technologies and frameworks. The successful candidate will have a love of technology, a proven background and excellent collaboration skills. The current solution stacks make heavy use of .NET & MVC along with React & Angular on the front-end. This is a full-time, work-from-home position, paying $80-90000 salary, depending on experience, plus benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate system scope & objectives through gathering data, research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • Design, test, maintain, program and develop web-based ecommerce and mobile applications for our cloud architecture.
  • Consulting and communicating between team members and stakeholders for clarity on requirements and QC.
  • Takes ownership, drives changes and improve processes. Works with existing development environment, consistently improving and innovating our sites. Improves the development process within in team by making contributing ideas, solutions, etc.
  • Resolves problems from customers and peers. Takes the time to look though tickets sent to the development team to help answer questions, correct and clarify issues from customers, team members and stakeholders.
  • Researches and keeps up with new and interesting technologies, finds new ways to innovate programs. Shares that knowledge and experience with team members.
  • Handling project development from inception to final fruition and deployment for the end-user, within time frame.
  • Solid programming experience: ASP.NET/C#.net.
  • Expertise in database design and development: SQL Server and SQL Analysis Services.
  • Expertise in standard web technologies: HTML, XHTML, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS.
  • Expertise in web services and integration: JSON or XML.
  • Expertise with version control/bug tracking: GitHub, JIRA, etc.
  • Expertise in MVC: Can build web applications using latest MVC technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S.in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in web and/or mobile development
  • Significant C# experience including ASP.NET and specially MVC
  • Various web skills in HTML5, React, Typescript, JavaScript
  • SQL Server experience. Microsoft Entity Framework experience. Agile Development Methodologies
  • Possess a strong technical background and willingness to learn and use new technologies
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to achieve results within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team
  • Prefer candidates that live in the greater Grand Rapids MI area
  • Must be able to work efficiently in your home office (after training/orientation) most of the time
  • Possess cultural virtues of Humble, Hungry and Smart, as described in “The Ideal Team Player” by Patrick Lencioni

Client Solutions Consultant (Sales)

Reporting to the National Sales Director of a multi-million-dollar software company, this position is responsible for developing clients, generating and closing new sales within a region of the country, to reach and exceed sales goals. This is a full-time position, paying $50-60000 salary plus commission and bonuses, plus benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new business and increase awareness of the company’s software through internet research, in-person meetings, referrals, Act-On leads, Acuity demo requests, Wufoo leads, emailing, cold calling, networking, instructor courses conferences and trade shows.
  • Prospect existing customers to migrate them to the new product offerings and latest solutions (cross-selling).
  • Objectively identify, qualify, develop and close new sales opportunities and document in a report.
  • Communicate weekly with management staff concerning upcoming new sales, customer needs and any necessary follow-up activities.
  • Maintain the client database of all communications with new customers and prospects with HubSpot CRM system; maintain CRM records to accurately reflect pipeline status.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to support sales and marketing efforts of the organization.
  • Attend staff meetings and sales meetings at designated times.
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, and competitor activities.
  • Give demonstrations of the software to potential clients, usually online, occasionally in-person.
  • Create and follow-up on Trial accounts and move the sales process forward to purchase.
  • Perform additional tasks that may be assigned or requested by the Marketing team, Sales Director or Executive team.
  • Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience, prefer experience in Healthcare or Software/technology industries
  • Strong business acumen, integrity, strong ethics, self-starter, self-motivated, self-disciplined, organized, strong team player, someone that is ‘hungry with integrity’
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, good sense of humor
  • Strong ‘hunter sales mentality’, proven success in finding new potential clients and getting them to acquire
  • Ability/willingness to travel as much as 50% at certain times; 25% is the average travel amount
  • Maintain a safe driving record and able to rent and drive rental cars
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet research and additional computer skills
  • Must be a local candidate in the Grand Rapids MI area
  • Possess cultural virtues of Humble, Hungry and Smart, as described in “The Ideal Team Player” by Patrick Lencioni
  • Preferred Experience: HubSpot CRM, Google Docs, GoToMeeting, Slack, some marketing skills
