NEW FEATURES: August 2019 Manage Class Update, Scenario Updates, Due Dates can be Changed & Student Reference ID

Manage Class Update

As a School Administrator if you Manage your course, edit your course, navigate to the Platinum Planner tab and edit a clinical/field internship class type you will notice 3 new options.

  • Allow students to observe patients after a preceptor has signed documentation
  • Allow students to upload documents after a preceptor has signed documentation
  • Allow students to fill out forms after a preceptor has signed documentation

These options will directly effect student opportunity documentation allowing them to either add patients with observed skills, fill out forms, or add documents after the documentation has been signed.

Due Dates and Opportunities

Have you ever wanted to adjust a due date on a students documentation because it was way past due?

Well now you can. Navigate to Manage Student Documentation for opportunities, select the documenting, past due, or returned tab and then View on the documentation you would like to adjust.

You will notice next to Due Date there is a (change) link. Click there and change the due date.

**Note: This will be recorded in the history of the opportunity and you will have to exit and re-open the opportunity to view the updated history.

Scenario Updates

We have added a new column that can be added to the Manage Scenarios, and Manage Student Documentation tables called Templates. So if you have ever added templates, now you can add the column to find out what scenario they are tied to.

Also when creating a scenario with a template, the Visibility displays Active Required Lab Skills now and not just All by default.

Student Reference ID

We have heard in the past that some schools would like the ability to add in Reference Id’s to help differentiate students who have the same last name or other reasons.

So now when creating a student role, or just editing the students current role. There is a section that is labeled Reference ID that allows the user to enter in anything.

This will show up in reports for Platinum Planner, and even the Grade Books in EMSTesting.
