PLATINUM Content security & enforcement
The security and validity of our test banks are something that Platinum Educational Group (PEG) takes very seriously. Our system searches the web each night, looking for instances where users have violated PEG Terms and Conditions of Use (TOC) by posting questions and answers taken directly from PEG test banks. Each reported site is investigated, and if the content is confirmed to have come from PEG test banks, a formal Digital Millennium Copyright Act Takedown Request is filed with the hosting site to remove the protected intellectual property. Currently, in cases where we can identify the user that posted the content, in whole or in part, the user and their educational institution receive an email notification placing the user on probation with notice that any additional violations would result in the permanent termination of the user’s access to PEG software.

Unfortunately, with the advent of AI-powered browser plugins and tools, we have seen a significant increase in the violation of PEG’s intellectual property rights. Users are taking advantage of the AI-powered tools and posting our questions on sites such as Chegg, Quizlet, Brainly, and CourseHero, among others. Due to the increase in violations, from now on, we must change how we enforce our TOCs when we identify users posting the protected intellectual property, in whole or in part, of Platinum Educational Group online.

Effective April 15, 2024, any user caught posting, sharing, transcribing, or otherwise reproducing Platinum Educational Group’s protected intellectual property, in whole or in part, will have their account access terminated without recourse for reversal. The termination of their account privileges will be permanent and not be reversed for any reason.

Students, you are strongly encouraged to remove any of Platinum’s content that you have posted online. Come April 15, 2024, any content discovered will result in the termination of your account access.

Educational Institutions, Program Directors, and Instructors, please communicate with your students and reinforce the seriousness of these violations. Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated.

I regret that we must take these steps, but the security and validity of our test banks must be protected. We appreciate your help in this endeavor.

Respectfully,
John Spencer
Chief Operations Officer
