Kathie with PTEC Attendees

As pharmacy technician education continues to evolve, educators are preparing for new accreditation requirements while balancing the day-to-day demands of teaching, clinical coordination, and student success. Those conversations took center stage at the 2026 Pharmacy Technician Educators Council (PTEC) Conference in San Antonio, TX.

As a proud sponsor, Platinum Educational Group was excited to connect with pharmacy technician educators from across the country, learn more about the challenges they're facing, and demonstrate how Platinum Planner continues to support pharmacy tech programs.

The exhibit hall is one of the most valuable parts of every PTEC conference. Beyond showcasing software, it gives us the opportunity to listen.

Educators stopped by our booth and shared questions about how we are adapting to the changing landscape in the Pharmacy Tech world. These conversations directly influence the continued development of Platinum Planner, ensuring it remains a trusted resource for competency tracking, clinical documentation, and accreditation readiness.

A great example of how those conversations shape our development came after the presentation on the revised ASHP/ACPE Accreditation Standards. Educators shared their thoughts on the upcoming changes and what pharmacy technician programs need to do before the February 2027 compliance deadline. As accreditation standards continue to evolve, we are committed to evolving alongside them to help programs seamlessly adapt to these changes.

Our education team is actively working to ensure Platinum Planner incorporates the enhancements necessary to support programs as they transition to the revised standards because we understand that accreditation involves much more than preparing for a site visit. It requires consistent documentation, accurate competency tracking, evaluations, and organized records for each student.

Platinum Planner was designed to centralize those responsibilities in one secure platform. From competency evaluations and clinical experiences to instructor feedback and documentation management, the software helps educators spend less time managing paperwork and more time supporting student success while keeping everything ready and accessible in preparation for the accreditation cycle.

We're grateful to everyone who visited the Platinum Educational Group booth to share their experiences, discuss upcoming accreditation changes, and learn more about how Platinum Planner can support their programs.

Thank you to PTEC for another outstanding conference! We look forward to continuing these conversations throughout the year and seeing everyone again at the next PTEC Conference.
