Introducing Custom Surveys in AccredAssist
Updated: 2 days ago
By Sarah Smith | Project Manager, Platinum Educational Group

We have recently released an impressive update to AccredAssist’s survey tools: Custom Surveys. This new feature gives AccredAssist and AccredAssist Lite users far greater flexibility and opens survey capabilities to more professions than ever before.
Standard Surveys remain available for EMS programs, so those workflows won’t change. Paramedic and AEMT programs will now see a “Standard Survey (Legacy)” option appear in their survey list alongside the new tools. As part of this rollout, we’ve also updated our default surveys to align with the most recent CoA standards, ensuring every program starts from a compliant foundation. We also added Standard Survey options for our remaining EMS and Respiratory Care users.
At the heart of this update is a new survey builder that puts control in your hands. You can start a survey from scratch or duplicate any existing published survey—standard or custom—to use as a template, saving time when you just need to make a few adjustments. The builder itself supports a wide range of question types, from dropdowns and checkboxes to rating scales with optional comment boxes, long-answer text fields, section headers, and plain text blocks.

Once a survey is built, from the Manage Custom Surveys view, you can set surveys as the defaults for specific programs, edit them as needs change, duplicate them for new variations, or archive them when they’re no longer needed. Archived surveys can’t be sent out anymore, but they’re never really gone. You can duplicate an archived survey at any time to create a fresh, active version.
Survey selection can also be set at the cohort level. Administrators simply choose which Graduate Survey and Employer Survey a given cohort should receive, whether that’s the default, Standard Survey, legacy version, or a custom build. From there, results are tracked per cohort right in the Surveys tab, where you can see each student’s completion status at a glance. It’s worth noting that, in line with recent policy updates, the option to view individual student and employer responses has been removed from the platform. Different levels of AccredAssist are available based on your profession and accreditation needs. Please contact our Sales Team to learn which option is right for your program.

We’re proud to give programs more control over how they gather feedback, and we can’t wait to see how you put Custom Surveys to work.
