What is the difference between Assessment Testing and Full Access

By Beatrice Alegria, Platinum Educational Group

The difference between Assessment Testing and Full Access. When approving a student's course enrollment request, if your course includes EMS Testing you will have the option to approve students for "Assessment Testing" or "Full Access".

The Assessment option allows school administrators to accept students into the Assessment Testing phase of a course. This means students will be enrolled in a course, but only have access to the assessment tests for that provider level. During this phase, they will not have access to linear or adaptive tests.

The assessment tests allow the school administrators to better understand who the students are and what they know before officially being admitted into the entire course. Entry Exam:  This assessment helps you to get an understanding of the student's current knowledge of their program and help you to see if remediation is needed.

Assessment testing will only provide students access to assessment tests at the provider level. Students will not have access to linear or Adaptive test. The fee for "Assessment Testing" is $5.00 this is separate fee on it's own. the fee is not included in the course enrollment fee.

If the school Administrator or Instructor approving enrollments decides to approve students for "Full Access" into EMS Testing they will not be able to select "Assessment Testing" as "Full Access" includes all Assessments at that provider level.

If Assessment testing is selected students will be able to log in to their student accounts and complete any assessment available. The school Administrator will be able to review the student's assessment results.
