New EMT Final Exams Now Available

We're excited to announce the release of two new EMT Final Exams, Platinum EMT 4.0 and Platinum EMT 5.0, now available on the platform for your programs.

These updated exams reflect our continued commitment to providing high-quality, current assessment tools for EMS education. Most notably, they include our new Technology Enhanced Item (TEI) types, which introduce more dynamic, interactive question formats designed to assess student knowledge in new and engaging ways.

What's Changed

With the release of these new exams, the previous EMT Final Exam versions, EMT 2.3 and EMT 3.2, have been deactivated for new customers and will no longer receive updates or maintenance.

Programs currently using these versions may continue to do so; however, we encourage transitioning to the new exams to ensure students benefit from the most current content, assessment design, and testing experience available.

If you prefer not to use TEIs in your final exams, you still have the option of using the new high-stakes exam banks to create custom final exams and select only the item types you wish to include.

What Should You Do?

We recommend reviewing your current EMT Final Exam settings and considering a transition to EMT 4.0 or EMT 5.0 for upcoming cohorts. Moving to the new exams will help ensure your students are being assessed using our latest content and enhancements.

What's Next?

We are actively working to bring these same updates to additional certification levels, with AEMT next in line and EMR to follow soon after. We'll continue to share updates as each new exam becomes available.
